Tucholka

(male) Transferred use of the surname, which originated in the Middle Ages as a nickname for someone who was ‘courteous’ (Old French curteis). At an early date, however, it came to be associated with Middle English curt ‘short’ + hose ‘leggings’ compare Courtney.
