Hasegawa

Japanese: ‘long valley river’; topographic name found in eastern Japan and the Ryūkyū Islands. It originated in the same place as Hase, therefore the actual meaning may be ‘river at the beginning of the strait’. Several bearers descend from the Minamoto and Fujiwara clans.
